Helifishing the High Apline
It is mid summer and the day is hot, really hot. Local lakes are perfect for swimming but the fish are lethargic and stay deep all day long...but not at 5000 ft!
At 5000ft the fish are happy as can be, eating caddis and mayflies as if it were mid to late spring!
Although high alpine fish are smaller than their low altitude counterparts, they are very plentiful and offer fly anglers action all day long. After all, they only get a few months where the ice is off the lake!
If you are interested in a trip to one of our high alpine lakes where you will be casting your fly amongst old growth forest and 10000 year old glaciers, please contact us now to arrange your flight! Best months are July and August.
